Junior Section Match Report - Middlesbrough 7 - 2 Dundalk SL
Seven up for Boro
Middlesbrough were applying good early pressure from the start and that was rewarded when Jack Robinson burst into the area and pulled the ball across for Sam Robinson to open the scoring from close range.
Robinson then added a second not long after and it was a carbon copy of his first goal, with Jack Robinson teeing him up from the left to fire into the corner.
It was goal number 3 for the Midlands club when Sam Robinson's shot was spilled and Jack Stapley was on hand to set up the impressive Isaac Fletcher.
Middlesbrough were on fine form but Fletcher was pushing the buttons on the well oiled Middlesbrough machine and he scored a fourth goal after being hauled down in the area and he converted the penalty he won.
The Irish side pulled a goal back just before half time and a fine goal it was as Tom Jackson looped into the empty net from 30 yards.
Half time 4-1 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough picked up again at the start of the second half and soon made it 5-1 when left back Terry Stephenson's cross could only be diverted into his own net by defender Conor Soraghan.
Terry Stephenson was up and down the left all match and was provider again for Middlesbrough's sixth of the evening, providing the pass for Stapley to finish high into the net.
Dundalk never lost heart after being punished by a very good side and pulled another goal back when Tom Jackson was brought down and he converted the penalty after Kian Spence received his marching orders.
The Reds from the Midlands rounded off the afternoon with a seventh goal when Joseph Gibson cut inside and fired low into the bottom right corner.
